Sailing coffees
TERRES DE CAFE COMMITS TO SAIL TRANSPORT
The missing piece in offering/guaranteeing traceable, sustainable coffee.
At the end of 2024, the first coffees from Colombia and Brazil reached the port of Le Havre and will be available from January 2025. From now on, all coffees from these two origins will be transported by sail. By 2026, 70% of Terres de Café volumes will be transported this way, and 100% by 2030.
The advantages of sailing
quality and freshness transport time divided by 2
Sailing time is divided by 2, i.e. 20 days on a direct route, preserving the quality and freshness of the coffees.
Less impact the environment takes center stage
Sailing reduces CO2 emissions and noise pollution, and preserves the oceans.
optimal traceability an integral part of quality
Traceability, inseparable from quality, is also a major criterion for Terres de Café, which masters the coffee value chain from sourcing to roasting and distribution. While conventional freight is highly opaque, and no information is available on the real conditions of transport (duration, route, number of stopovers and conditions on board), TOWT brings transparency by sharing all this data.
economic and social Independent and French
Sailing offers independence from fossil fuels and freight rates. The Anemos flies the French flag, and its crew benefits from employment contracts governed by French labor law.
