Description

Bitter, sweet or strong... That's how nine out of ten people characterize the taste of coffee. What a contrast to the hundreds of aromas that a cup of good coffee can express! What mental image do we really have of coffee? Is it a delicate taste, a sweet, lingering mouthfeel, different with every cup? Or is it a powerful drink with stimulating properties, but with a slightly burnt, bitter aftertaste? And what is the relationship between terroir and coffee taste?

The almost hegemonic offer of industrial coffees immediately closes the doors to the awakening of the senses and the joy of appreciating the true taste of a good cup of coffee. So much so that, despite our pleasure in consuming it, we are no longer able to recognize the wheat from the chaff. The aim of this book is to help readers gain a fresh perspective on coffee, and change the way they think about it, from production to consumption. Understand in order to taste better, get rid of preconceived ideas and fully enjoy the pleasures of tasting a specialty coffee.
