Pepe Jijón Finca La Soledad

Pepe Jijon is a former mountaineering adventurer who has chosen specialty coffee production as a way of life, in harmony with nature and the people around him.

This harmony is reflected in his all-too-rare, vibrant and exceptional batches, the fruit of technical and philosophical reflection.

After several trips to this highland country, I realized that Ecuador is becoming a land of exceptional micro-lots.

Arnaud Causse is the man behind a crazy project: growing coffee in the middle of the desert.

His farm, Las Terrazas del Pisque, is proof that nothing is impossible and that there isn't just one way to produce coffee sustainably, but several.

The Amazalia project is a coffee agroforestry project. It brings together two eco-farms nestled in the heart of the Ecuadorian jungle, at an altitude of 1,500 meters, in the Cayambe Coca nature reserve in the Amazon...

The story began in 2014 when the Andrade brothers bought a former cattle farm - La Josefina - with the aim of producing world-class specialty coffees sustainably.

The Andrade brothers and their wives weren't always farmers. Amazalia is their heart project, and certainly their last. So they needed two farms, Josefina for Leopoldo, and La Majorelle (in homage to the gardens of Marrakech's Villa Majorelle) for Marcello, 35 hectares each to produce wonders.
