Chania Estate has been run by the Harries family since 1926. The technical management of the farm is impeccable, with an exceptional range of varieties, including the old but no less sublime French Mission, the first variety planted in Kenya and the ancestor of SL. They are processed here using the Kenyan double steeping method, which gives the coffee a very pure flavour.

Since 2018, Boyce Harries has totally rethought its farming practices, aware that it had reached the end of the famous conventional model. These practices prevented us from developing a genuine partnership with him, despite the exceptional quality of his coffees. 

Drastic and gradual reduction in inputs, planting of cover trees, creation of a forest, a pond, better water management, milk production... We are happy to accompany them on this path and to propose these great Kenyans.
