Projects 2025/2026

TATMARA FARM – Ethiopia

GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT

Tatmara Farm, located in the Kaffa region, cultivates 80 hectares of forest coffee without any inputs. It is run by Negussie Tadesse, an English-speaking former diplomat who returned to the land of his ancestors to devote his life to coffee. We are working with him and our partner Belco to put in place the infrastructure needed to meet environmental, economic, and social criteria as an example of a self-sufficient, globally sustainable farm, and to implement tools for measuring the project's impact: agricultural, carbon, and economic assessments.

Actions

  • 2023/2024: Financing the acquisition and installation of a coffee washing station to diversify the farm's offering and increase its productivity.
  • 2024/2025: Carbon Free Farm - Electrification of the farm and post-harvest facilities that emit carbon using solar panels, in order to eliminate the use of fossil fuels and provide electrical comfort to the farm and the homes of farm workers in the surrounding area, with the support of Delonghi France.

Bourbon project - Santander - Colombia

The Bourbon Project consists of selecting the best pink bourbons from a production region in Colombia with an incomparable profile. After Huila, we set off to discover another major coffee-growing region in Colombia, Santander. As always, this selection is the result of the combination of a terroir, a committed producer, and an unforgettable taste, which we are privileged to present to you here.

Soil of Excellence - Colombia

Soil of Excellence is an annual competition that incorporates soil quality into the final score of cups evaluated by a tasting committee. The top ten lots are sold at the end of the competition. Analysis of soil composition using chromatography reveals the health of a farm's ecosystem and, therefore, its ability to produce healthy, high-quality coffee and to be resilient in the face of climate change. Terres de Café is committed to purchasing the best lots from the competition to support committed producers and offer its customers coffees that symbolize the agricultural future of our industry.

Bijao Estate Bio - Colombia

Initiated by Oscar Doza and Terres de Café, this project involves creating a batch of small beans, which are generally sold at low prices on the local market. Here, thanks to rigorous quality sorting, these beans are valued for export and generate higher income for the small producers from whom Oscar buys the cherries, around the Altos Del Bijao farm.

félix project - Bolivia

Felix Chambi is a “native” born in Caranavi, the main coffee-producing region, into a family of coffee farmers. He was destined to become a mechanic, but his talent and perseverance enabled him to become a specialty coffee exporter and support social causes in his marginalized community. This batch was tailor-made for Terres de Café, combining two projects dear to Felix: protecting the coffee forests in his region and supporting female breadwinners. A coffee made by women and the forest! A smooth, slightly fruity cup.

Los pinos - Nicaragua

Olman coffee trees flourish beneath the pine trees. We have created a special blend designed to produce a great espresso. Natural beans for body and complexity, washed beans for finesse. Our skilled roaster brings it all together, developing just the right amount of bright and toasted notes. A classic, contemporary espresso.
