Volcan Azul, a world-renowned farm over a hundred years old, is run by Alejo Castro, who offers us an exceptional natural coffee, the highly sought-after bourbon pointu, naturally low in caffeine, sweet and chocolaty.
Sourcing note
More than a hundred years old, Volcan Azul is now run by Alejo Castro, the sixth generation of farmers. Alejo, who is in his thirties, is part of the modern coffee movement and has considerably developed his production: plot-based planting, adaptation of prestigious botanical varieties and goldsmith's precision in the many processes used on the farm. Here, the farm's rare pointed bourbons, originally from La Réunion, also known as Laurina in Latin America because of their laurel leaf shape. Not very productive, fragile, the volumes are very limited, and we are delighted to be able to offer you these allocations.
